1. Service Description

DoorVault ("Service") is a web-based property management tracking platform designed for rental property investors. The Service allows users to track properties, record financial transactions, generate tax reports, manage documents, and analyze portfolio performance. DoorVault is a record-keeping and organizational tool and does not provide financial, legal, or tax advice.

2. Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate information during registration and keep it current. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized access. DoorVault is not liable for any loss resulting from unauthorized use of your account.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
  • Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
  • Use the Service to store or transmit content that infringes on intellectual property rights
  • Resell, sublicense, or redistribute access to the Service without authorization

4. Data Ownership

You retain full ownership of all data you enter into DoorVault, including property information, financial records, documents, and any other content. DoorVault does not claim ownership of your data. We access your data only to provide and improve the Service. You may export or delete your data at any time. Upon account termination, we will make your data available for export for a reasonable period before permanent deletion.

5. Subscription and Billing

DoorVault offers free and paid subscription plans. Paid plans are billed on a monthly or annual basis as selected at the time of purchase. Prices are subject to change with 30 days' notice. You may cancel your subscription at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are not provided for partial billing periods. If payment fails, we may suspend access to paid features until the balance is resolved.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. DoorVault does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. Financial calculations, tax reports, and other outputs are provided for informational purposes only and should be verified by a qualified professional before use in any official filing or decision-making.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DoorVault and its owners, officers, and employees shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

8. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time through your account settings or by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that we reasonably believe is harmful to the Service or other users. Upon termination, your right to access the Service ceases immediately. We will retain your data for 30 days following termination to allow for export, after which it will be permanently deleted.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through a notice within the Service at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you disagree with any changes, you may terminate your account before the changes take effect.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts located in the State of Florida.
